Accessibility

Holm should work for everyone, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard instead of a mouse, or a larger text size. Here is where we stand, what we check, and how to reach us if something gets in your way.

1. The standard we hold ourselves to

We build to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, published by the W3C. We do not claim full conformance. We claim an honest, ongoing effort: every screen in the Holm app and every page of this site is checked automatically against WCAG 2.2 AA before it ships, and a check that fails blocks the release.

2. What that means in practice

Text and its background meet a 4.5:1 contrast ratio. Every control has a name a screen reader can announce. Everything you can do with a mouse you can do with a keyboard, and anything you can drag has a way to do it with a single tap. Links inside text are underlined, not just coloured. Tap targets are at least 24 pixels. Pages can be zoomed to 200% without losing content.

3. Assistive technology

The web app and this site are designed to work with VoiceOver (macOS and iOS), TalkBack (Android), NVDA and JAWS (Windows), operating-system voice control, browser zoom, and keyboard-only navigation.

4. Known limitations

Automated checks cover roughly a third of WCAG. We have not yet completed hand-testing of every flow with a screen reader, and the iPhone app has not yet been audited with VoiceOver and Dynamic Type. Some animations on this site may not yet honour a reduce-motion preference. We are working through these, and we will update this page as we do.

5. Tell us if something is in your way

If any part of Holm is hard or impossible for you to use, email privacy@holm.homes with the page or screen, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology you use. We reply within five business days, we will work with you on a way through, and we fix the underlying problem. You can also write to Solis Core Inc., 1071 Neilson Street, Albany, CA 94706.

6. Formal complaints

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the U.S. Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division, at ada.gov, or your state's Attorney General.
